~Keep It Simple~

Black & White

Crisp & Clean

This simple birthday card stands out with the clean crisp lines. Black and white cardstock, embossed and layered. Unfortunately the embossed part is not showing up in the photograph...and the card has already left the building! so no other photo opportunity ;(

I used my Fiskar's ScrapBoss, so the embossing is lighter than if I would of used my little Texture Boutique. By cutting the inside black cardstock a smidgen larger than the card base, it continued the layering effect and made the front of the card stand out that much more.

Matching black envelope to compliment the card.

Kind of 'formal' masculine look'.

Print up a sentiment to place inside the card, add a little bling (just couldn't resist the bling) a ribbon, Happy Birthday stamp and your all set to go.

Materials Used:

5 x 10 1/2 inch white cardstock

1 x 2 3/8 inch white cardstock

Ultimate Crafter's Companion

Sizzix Texture Boutique & Swiss Dot Embossing folder.

Cut cardstock to sizes required.

Fold both white & black cardstock in half to form tent card base

Stamp Happy Birthday wish onto 1 x 2 3/8 inch cardstock & emboss

Layer onto 1 1/2 x 2 11/16th inch black cardstock with dimensional stickers.

Cut out bird on page 33 of Story book cartridge at 1 1/4 inches

Attach to card with dimensional stickers

Attach ribbon to front of card then place folded black cardstock inside of white card base and glue together.

Print sentiment onto white paper, then cut to fit inside of card ~ 4 x 4 1/4 inches. Glue to inside of card and Le Voila ~ you have a nice, crisp, gentlemanly card.

Envelope

I love the simplicity of using my Crafter's Companion. Make up envelopes to fit your cards for that finished, professional look. Cut black cardstock to 10 1/2 inches square. Using the envelope panel of Crafter's Companion, score line's F & H.

Cut two round scalloped circles from Story Book cartridge, in two different sizes to layer.

Stamp & Emboss, glue together, add to front of envelope.

Now, wasn't that easy? Crisp, clean, masculine card all set and ready to go.

Thank you for stopping by, hope you are having a happy scrappin' time!

Hugs

Nanny Donna ;)
